Q: How can I view AutoCAD Drawings without AutoCAD?
I have received AutoCAD DWG files, AutoCAD DWF Files, AutoCAD Inventor Files. I only need to view or print the files, do I have to purchase AutoCAD?
A:
No. AutoDesk (the creators of AutoCAD) offers several Free Viewers for those that need only to View and/or Print AutoCAD Drawing Files, AutoCAD DWF Files, and AutoCAD Inventor Files. Visit the AutoDesk web site to learn more or download the various Viewing Programs.
Please Note: We cannot offer any support for the use of these tools. Contact the manufacturer should you require assistance.
Q: Who at your company should I speak to?
I have a question for someone at your company, but I don't know who to even begin to ask for when I call. Is there a specific person I should ask for?
A:
In order to give you, the customer, the best service possible, we DO NOT use any type of automated system. Each and every employee in our building is trained to answer the phone and answer questions. If the person who picks up doesn't know the answer to your question, they will promptly get someone on the line who does. When you call us, you will never have to worry about getting a recording and trying to remember which button to push!
Q: I forgot my login information for DFS. How do I get in?
I cannot remember my username or password for DFS. How do I get this information?
A:
You can go to the public planroom @ www.marbaugh.com/dfs and click "Login Help". You will be asked for the e-mail address you provided when you registered and your login information will be e-mailed to you within minutes. If you are still having trouble, please contact us via telephone at 317-631-1000 and ask for a DFS Administrator. You will be asked to confirm some information about your account for security purposes and then they will be able to provide your login information to you.
Q: I forgot my username or password for Beehive. Now what do I do?
I can't find my username or my password to send you files. How do I find out what it is?
A:
You will need to contact Darrel Summers via telephone at 317-631-1000 to have it reset. You will be asked to confirm some information for security purposes. We cannot tell you what your password used to be, but we will provide a new one for you.
Q: What type of file should I send to you?
I want to send a set of electronic documents to your company, but I'm not sure what file format to use. Do you have a preference?
A:
Yes, we do. If you are sending large format documents (greater than 11"x17"), we prefer .TIF, .PDF, .DWF or .PLT files. If you are sending small format documents (smaller than or equal to 11"x17"), .PDF is preferred. We are not limited to those file types and if you have something other than that, we will do our best to work with them if possible.
Q: Why won't this Beehive program work???
I am trying to use Beehive, your online file submission utility, but it keeps saying "Please Wait...". Am I doing something wrong or should I continue to wait?
A:
If you are getting the "Please Wait..." message for more than 1 minute, your computer either does not have all of the software needed to run the Beehive application or your internet privacy settings or firewall may be interfering. Your best bet would be to just e-mail the drawings to us at plots@marbaugh.com. If the file(s) are too large to e-mail, please contact us at 317-631-1000 for instructions on how to access our FTP site directly or you can send them via some sort of removable media (I.e.: CD / DVD / Flash Drive / Zip Disk / etc...).
Q: Can I send you AutoCAD files???
I have some AutoCAD files that have extensions of .DWG and .DXF. Can you print from those?
A:
Yes. However, AutoCAD files generally require many associated files such as x-ref, pen settings, special fonts, shape files, etc... There is also a substantial charge for the required conversion of those files necessary to make them printable. You may also be asked to sign a disclaimer releasing us from any liability as a result of our conversion. If something doesn't show up, we may not know it's missing! Your best bet is to ask your architect, engineer or designer for an alternate format such as .TIF, .PDF or a hard copy. They will often do this at no extra charge if you ask for them up front. If you are the author of the AutoCAD files, we have a driver available for download at no charge that you may use to create .PLT files yourself. These do not require conversion on our end which in turn will save you money!
Q: How can I send files that are too large for e-mail?
I have a ZIP file that is over 50 megabytes! That is too large to send through my e-mail. Do I need to bring in a CD?
A:
Use our File Upload Utility online by clicking here.
Q: I still need help…
I've read thru your Frequently Asked Questions, but my question has still not been answered. What do I do now?
A:
You can contact us via telephone at (317) 631-1000 and ask to speak to a technical representative or you may e-mail us at support@marbaugh.com.
